Investigation reveals bandwidth effectiveness of fast phase-coded waveforms in FMCW MIMO radar systems, highlighting viable designs for multiple transmitters.
The application of Linear Frequency Modulated Waveforms in multiple-input-multiple-output (FMCW MIMO) radar devices has been a matter of interest in the radar scientific field for about a decade. Lately, the approach using phase-coded sequences has been introduced, which may benefit from greater bandwidth effectiveness with a greater number of transmitters. This area still lacks knowledge about the actual achievable radar performance. In this paper, we attempt to further investigate the possibility of creating a device based on fast phase-coded waveforms.
