The article deals with the issues of the organization of interaction between the school and the family in the format of the work of the class teacher and the parents of students. A theoretical analysis of the scientific literature has been carried out, which made it possible to summarize the relevance of this problem in modern humanitarian discourse. It is noted that the leading role in the organization of cooperation between the school and the family belongs to the class teacher, who accompanies both educational activities and leisure of his wards. The interaction between the family and the class teacher is based on the principles of mutual trust and respect, support and assistance, patience and tolerance towards each other. The class teacher is the closest of all the members of the teaching staff to the students, he knows their problems, helps them solve various issues, and knows the situation in the family. Therefore, today, one of the primary tasks of a modern school is to establish cooperation and mutual understanding between teachers and parents of students. On the basis of the author’s questionnaire, various aspects of cooperation between the class teacher and parents, as well as the attitude of parents to the activities of the class teacher, are revealed. Generalizing conclusions on the problem under study are made, allowing us to state that the majority of parents are interested in their child’s affairs at school, and to keep in touch with the class teacher. However, a certain anxiety is caused by the fact that only 29% of parents prefer to communicate with the class teacher in person, and the majority by phone. Without detracting from the role of contact with the use of gadgets, it should be noted that only at a personal meeting it is possible to discuss issues related to the individual characteristics of students and determine the trajectory of further joint work to correct the difficulties encountered by students in school life. It should also be noted that, in general, parents recognize the work of their children’s homeroom teacher as satisfactory, since he performs the tasks of forming a classroom team as an educational environment that ensures the development of each student.
