Bright Impact of Natalia Dunayeva

Римского-Корсакова и Академии Русского балета имени А. Я. Вагановой Наталии Лазаревны Дунаевой (1933–2020) “Omnia Praeclara Rara”. Рассмотрены основные этапы биографии главной героини книги, даны краткий портрет ее личности, а также оценка влияния на последователей; показана важность источниковедения как дисциплины, введенной Наталией Лазаревной в программу подготовки балетоведов. В рецензии проанализировано содержание основных разделов — “IN MEMORIAM” и «Научные статьи и публикации». Отдельно раскрыты деятельность учеников Дунаевой в годы обучения, а также развитие ее педагогических и научных идей в настоящее время. This material is a review of the memorial collection dedicated to the renowned ballet historian, Associate Professor of the Saint Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory and the A. Ya. Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy, Natalia Lazarevna Dunayeva (1933– 2020). The collection is titled “Omnia Praeclara Rara”. The main stages of the biography of the main heroine of the book are considered, a short portrait of her personality is given, as well as an assessment of her influence on the followers. The review demonstrates significance of the “Source Studies”, a discipline introduced by Natalia Lazarevna in the program of training ballet researchers. The content of the main sections — “IN MEMORIAM” and “Scientific articles and publications” — was analyzed. The activities of Duna-yeva’s pupils during the years of study are separately disclosed. The review also considers how the students continue to uphold her pedagogical and scientific ideas at present.
