Most modern livestock farming technologies are based on closed production facilities, where it is necessary to follow the requirements of zootechnical and veterinary-sanitary standards for air quality. Failure to comply with air quality requirements leads to a decrease in animal productivity, an increase in the spread of disease and mortality of livestock. To ensure zootechnical and veterinary-sanitary standards in livestock buildings, it is necessary to follow measures to improve the health and gas composition of the air environment. The article presents the results of research on the use of electrical ozonation to improve air quality indicators in livestock buildings, which include a description of the design diagram of an electrical ozonation device, the results of theoretical calculations on the selection of electrical parameters of the ozonizer, as well as the results of experimental studies on the influence of the ozone-air mixture on air quality indicators environment for pathogenic microflora. A positive dynamics of the influence of ozone concentration on reducing the number of pathogenic microflora when treated with an ozone-air mixture was revealed. It has been established that with an increase in ozone concentration in the air of a production room, a decrease in the total microbial number is observed (1 mg/m3 – 398±14,95 CFU/m3; 5 mg/m3 – 340±15,6 CFU/m3; 10 mg/m3 – 188±10,36 CFU/m3), staphylococcus (1 mg/m3 – 71±4,42 CFU/m3; 5 mg/m3 – 23±6,34 CFU/m3; 10 mg/m3 – 19±6,92 CFU/m3).
