The productivity of medicinal raw materials of peppermint in the northern forest-steppe of the Tyumen region

The article studied varieties and hybrids of peppermint and described their morphological features, the yield of essential oil and the yield of raw and air-dry mass of plants. It has been established that plants of Zabava and Menthol varieties were the tallest compared to the standard by 7.5-8.5 cm among the studied varieties, on average, over the years of research, the yield of fresh mass varied from 7.00 to 1.71 t/ha and from 2.24 to 3.42 t/ha of air-dry weight, the varieties Zabava, Vorozheya and the EKB hybrid stood out in terms of the yield of medicinal raw materials, which exceeded the standard variety by 2.54-4.18 t/ha. High content of essential oil had hybrids Tyumensky and EKB - 1.65-1.95 %.
