A rapid, anhydrous Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of alkylboronic esters with aryl halides is described. Parallel experimentation revealed that the combination of AntPhos, an oxaphosphole ligand, neopentyldiol alkylboronic esters, and potassium trimethylsilanolate (TMSOK) enables successful cross-coupling.
