Abstract This paper aims to explore the relationship between trust and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) within the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC). Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study conducts in-depth semi-structured interviews with 17 BOC managers, focusing on five key themes of OCB: altruism, civic virtue, conscientiousness, courtesy, and sportsmanship. The findings reveal that increased levels of managerial trust positively impact all OCB themes, particularly civic virtue, which indicates a strong emotional commitment and support for BOC activities. These results suggest that enhancing trust can lead to greater employee engagement in behaviors beyond their formal work roles. The study makes significant contributions to the literature, especially in the Middle Eastern context, and offers practical recommendations for future research and practitioners in the field of trust.
