The Constitutional Regulation of the Electoral System within the Framework of Ensuring Stability of Electoral Laws

The article deals with the problem of the gap in the 1993 Constitution of Russia in terms of regulating the electoral system in its broad sense. It is noted that the introduction of the vast majority of legal norms to the level of laws and by-laws generates instability of electoral legislation and negatively affects the state of the Russian legal system. Based on the results of the analysis of the Constitutions of foreign states and domestic scientific works and political constitutional projects, proposals are made on the prospects of constitutional regulation of the electoral system of Russia.
