This paper presents a step-by-step analysis of the wireless communication channel and phase noise compensation for fifth-generation (5G) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). The performance of least squares using cubic spline interpolation technical. Additionally, to ensure optimal OFDM operation, phase noise requires cancellation, employing the common phase noise method. Performance is evaluated using bit error rate (BER), and a numerical simulation method is employed in MATLAB. The simulation result showed that the performance of estimates and phase noise correction is acceptable, it has a lower BER than 10 −2 and uses channel taps that aren't more than 200 taps so that OFDM system processing has performance.
