The article analyzes scientific approaches to developing criteria, indicators, and levels of formation of professionals' ecological competence. Based on the analysis, criteria (value-motivational, innovative-cognitive, activity-technological, personal-reflexive) and indicators of formation of future teachers labor education and technologies' ecological competence are determined. Specifically, the value-motivational criterion involves determining the degree of manifestation of indicators such as the personal attitude towards nature, interest in solving ecological problems, the desire to develop one's own ecological competence, and the ecological competence of pupils. The innovative-cognitive criterion characterizes the extent to which future teachers of labor education and technologies master the system of ecological knowledge (knowledge of ecology, nature management, nature conservation, sustainable development, ecological legislation), knowledge of the ecological competence of a labor education and technologies teacher, and methods of forming it in students during technology lessons and extracurricular activities. The activity-technological criterion aims to identify the ability to apply ecological knowledge in professional activities and everyday life, justify the ecological feasibility of creative projects, and possess the methodology for forming students' ecological competence. The personal-reflexive criterion determines the development of volitional (principledness, goal orientation, perseverance, responsibility) and humanistic (empathy towards nature, tolerance, fairness, humanism, reflection) qualities of personality, the ability to comprehend and self-assess their own level of ecological competence, as well as the ability for self-analysis and correction of their own pedagogical activities aimed at forming students' ecological competence. Levels of formation (initial, intermediate, sufficient, high) of future teachers labor education and technologies' ecological competence are characterized, which ensure the objective assessment of the formation of all components of the investigated phenomenon.
