The historical development of trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and the countries of the European Union

The article is devoted to the problem of the delivery of Azerbaijani natural gas to Italy via the Southern Gas Corridor The general conclusion can be reached that the European Union's (EU) import choice is influenced by factors such as maintaining supply diversification, etc., and not by the cost of natural gas. However, in order to strengthen cooperation in the field of natural gas supplies between the EU and the Republic of Azerbaijan in future, it is proposed to study international experience and take appropriate measures to reduce the cost of exported natural gas.
