Employee taking charge is an important factor in organizational functional change. In the turbulent domestic and international environment, the role of employee taking charge in organizational development has become particularly important. This article explores from the perspective of social cognitive theory whether and how secure-base leadership promotes taking charge among employees. Through analysis, it was found that secure-base leadership has a significant promoting effect on employee taking charge; Self efficacy mediates the impact of secure-base leadership on employee taking charge; Work family conflict plays a negative moderating role between self-efficacy and employee taking charge. That is, the higher the work family conflict, the weaker the positive impact of self-efficacy on employee taking charge; In addition, work family conflict negatively moderates the mediating effect of self-efficacy, that is, the higher the work family conflict, the weaker the mediating effect of self-efficacy. Finally, the following suggestions are proposed: Enterprises should encourage the cultivation of safety base leadership traits in management, strengthen attention to work family conflicts among employees, and focus on increasing employee self-efficacy.
