Virtual reality (VR) games provide inexpensive, accessible, and engaging tools to motivate and educate users. VR games for science education transform passive learning into active exploration, where students become problem-solvers and experimenters, not just passive recipients of information. We want to relate VR game learning to everyday applications and encourage responsible scientific practices; foster a love for science that goes beyond the VR game experience, inspiring students to explore and question the world around them; and share data and insights gained from VR game learning to inform future educational technology development. By keeping these goals in mind, we created a mini-VR science game that helps students learn the Periodic Table in Chemistry. The users' responses were positive. We will create more mini-VR games for other subjects of learning.
