Based on simulated annealing algorithm, this paper discusses the optimization of urban hot water heating system with dynamic system theory. By comparing with elastic moving particles, a dynamic system model is established and applied to urban hydraulic analysis. The flow-based method is adopted to solve the optimization problem of pipeline network. The diameter of pipeline is regarded as a discrete variable, the annual cost reduction is taken as the goal, and the hydraulic method is used for constraint. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified by numerical examples. The research results show that the system can obtain a larger heat supply through reasonable design under the premise of satisfying the user comfort requirements. In addition, the method is suitable for discrete variables, nonlinear programming and multi-constraint conditions, and is simple, practical and feasible. However, it should be noted that the parameter selection in the specific problem needs to pass practical testing, and the final solution still needs to be further verified, while improving the solving speed.
