Nowadays in small-scale wind power systems, converters are used as power optimizers to harvest the optimum power. AC-DC converters are widely used due to their higher accuracy and better voltage regulations. In a conventional power system, voltage regulation is done by a transformer with a 50-60Hz frequency. This research aims to develop the simulation set-up of the first stage of the solid-state transformer used to integrate the EV in a smart grid. This simulation is prepared for a three-phase AC-DC boost rectifier with a closed-loop current control technique. The three-phase configuration gives smoother waveforms as switching increases. Three-phase boost rectifiers with d-q current control and space vector PWM techniques give optimum results. With d-q control, the AC quantities are converted to DC and tracking of errors in PI controllers is reduced. Here, the AC-DC converter is represented based on d-q and SVM techniques. A THD-based analysis is also presented for the clarity of the schemes. The level of THD thus obtained on the current source side is 4.24% which is under the limit of IEEE standard.
