In the past, teachers mostly used textbooks or globes to teach geography knowledge (such as location, latitude and longitude, time zones, etc.), and it was not easy for students to understand the course content. However, virtual reality (VR) technology has gradually matured in recent years, and students can experience different feelings through VR. This study is used the Unity 3D game engine to integrate the OpenXR development kit, 3D models, animation, music, and sound effects media materials to develop a VR geography teaching system. Through VR immersive learning, students can easily understand the relative position, absolute position, map knowledge. Students can also stimulate their interest in learning and thinking ability.
