This study focuses mainly on using the inverse piezoelectric effect as an actuator that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The electrical energy source may be a current, voltage, or pulse, etc. Typically, the maximum elongation of a piezoelectric actuator is only at the scale of microns, and the resolution can be at the nano-scale. The advantages are high rigidity and fast response, making piezoelectric actuators ideal for application in precise positioning technology.
