T-cell-specific deletion of the glucocorticoid receptor prevents T lymphopenia and thymocyte loss following myocardial infarction in a mouse model.
Konovalova et al. (2025) studied Myocardial infarction. T-cell-specific deletion of glucocorticoid receptor vs. GR flox/flox mice was evaluated on T lymphopenia, T-cell accumulation in bone marrow, thymic weight, and thymocyte number. T-cell-specific deletion of the glucocorticoid receptor in mice prevented T lymphopenia, bone marrow T-cell accumulation, and thymocyte loss at day 1 post-myocardial infarction.
