Genome assembly reveals 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules in Bimastos rubidus, highlighting the diversity of eukaryotic species.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from an individual <ns3:italic>Bimastos rubidus</ns3:italic> (Cockspur worm; Annelida; Clitellata; Crassiclitellata; Lumbricidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 812.74 megabases. Most of the assembly (95.63%) is scaffolded into 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.57 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.</ns3:p>
