Analysis explores how mass imbalance and electron-photon interactions affect exciton-polariton condensation dynamics and stability.
The influence of the electron - hole mass imbalance and the electron - photon interaction on the condensation of exciton - polariton systems is investigated in the framework of the unrestricted Hatree - Fock approximation. The condensate properties both above and below the phase transition point are described by the signature of the excitonic/photonic order parameter and the static susceptibility functions. When the electron - photon interaction is small, the condensation state is established only if decreasing the mass imbalance. However, when the electron - photon interaction is sufficiently large, the condensate is established even as the effective mass of the hole is infinite. The condensation order parameters also increase, and the energy gap is expanded when reducing the mass imbalance, indicating the stability of the condensate state.
