This study investigates the effect of examination anxiety on the academic performance of teacher trainees in mathematics using a survey method. A sample of 56 B.Ed. Teacher trainees from a B.Ed. College in Pune were selected, and the Westside Test Anxiety Scale (WTAS) was used to measure their anxiety levels. Mathematics scores from internal examinations were collected as indicators of academic performance. The study found a significant negative correlation between test anxiety and performance. The findings highlight the need for interventions targeting anxiety reduction among teacher trainees.
