Qualitative analysis reveals that governance and technology significantly impact Islamic banking growth in Indonesia, suggesting a need for capacity building.
This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Islamic banking development in Indonesia through three interrelated dimensions: People, Process, and Technology. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and the literature review method, data were obtained from national and international academic sources published between 2015 and 2024, including journals, research reports, and publications from official institutions such as the OJK and Bank Indonesia. The analysis employed content analysis and thematic analysis to identify key trends and relationships among the three dimensions. The results show that the development of Islamic banking is significantly influenced by the competence of human resources (People), the effectiveness of governance and regulatory compliance (Process), and the acceleration of digital transformation (Technology). The integration of these three dimensions enhances the competitiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of Islamic banking in the digital era. This research contributes to a better understanding of how innovation and technology can be harmonized with Sharia principles. Practically, the findings emphasize the need for continuous capacity building, process improvement, and technological adoption to strengthen the resilience and inclusivity of Indonesia’s Islamic banking industry.
