Effective classroom communication is a critical determinant in student learning and psychological development. This paper examines the relationship between teacher-student communication styles and student motivation in the classroom. Drawing on communication and educational psychology theories, the study explores how authoritarian, democratic, and supportive communication approaches influence learners’ academic performance and classroom engagement. Data were collected through classroom observations and analysed to determine the impact of communication styles on students' engagement. The findings suggest that positive and supportive communication styles foster motivation, participation, and confidence. While negative or authoritarian styles often reduce student enthusiasm. Effective classroom communication is a crucial determinant in student learning and psychological development. The paper concludes that integrating effective communication strategies into teacher training programs can improve both motivation and academic outcomes.
