Analysis reveals significant differences in hollow billet dimensions using guide discs, suggesting improved deformation techniques.
Features of the billet piercing on a screw rolling mill with guide discs have been examined. It was found out due to intensive tangential deformation, dimensions of a produced hollow billet considerably differed from ones of hollow billets made by other piercing methods. The simulation results of the piercing with the use of software QFORM 3D are presented.
