This analysis shows increased energy utilization in buildings with a solar thermal PV/T system, suggesting significant environmental benefits.
The combined heat and power system of a solar photovoltaic thermal PV/T module coupled with an air source heat pump is studied. Based on improving the efficiency of solar photovoltaic power generation, solar thermal resources are effectively used. The results show that the average COP of the system is 4.66 when the air source heat pump is operated alone, and 5.37 when the PV/T component is combined with the air source. The average daily thermal power of 32 PV/T modules is 24 kW and the average daily generating capacity is 64 kWh. Compared with the traditional PV system, the energy utilization rate has increased by 5.68 % ~ 17.76 %. The generated hot water does not need to be reheated, and the average water temperature of the thermal storage tank can reach 46.8 °C to meet the needs of domestic hot water users. The system can better realize the co-generation for buildings, and the economic and environmental benefits are considerable, which provides a reference for the low-carbon and energy-saving operation of buildings.
