Experimental results show enhanced vibration reduction in floating raft systems, indicating dynamic vibration absorbers address low-frequency performance issues.
To address the limitations of particle dampers in low-frequency performance and the narrow vibration reduction bandwidth of dynamic vibration absorbers, this study proposes a particle damping dynamic vibration absorber (PDDVA) by integrating both technologies. Taking a ship's floating raft isolation system as the research object, the vibration reduction characteristics of the PDDVA on the raft frame and base structure are investigated. Experimental results demonstrate that the PDDVA significantly reduces the peak response of characteristic line spectra and the overall vibration effective value across a broad frequency range (1–1200 Hz) in the floating raft system.
