Overview of the Development of South Korean Cinema in the Period From the 80s of the Xx Century to the 90s of the Same Century in the Context of Globalization

In the modern world, cinema is one of the most influential forms of art. With its help, you can convey certain ideas, express your thoughts, in other words, it is no longer considered a “primitive”, “entertaining” phenomenon, as it was considered at the beginning of the XX century. Like any kind of art, cinema is influenced by the processes of globalization. Filmmakers from different countries and regions borrow ideas, techniques, and sometimes the general concept of a motion picture from each other. For a long time, the borrowing vector came from the USA, i.e. many cinematographers borrowed techniques from them, however, now the situation has changed. This article examines South Korean cinema in the context of globalization in one of the most important periods of its development - the 80s - 90s of the XX century.
