Copper-catalyzed process generates six-membered phosphorus heterocycles in high yields, indicating effective regio- and stereoselective synthesis.
An atom‐economic copper‐catalyzed intramolecular hydrophosphorylation of ortho ‐alkynyl secondary phosphine oxides, using Cs 2 CO 3 as a base, is reported. This innovative synthetic strategy proceeds under mild conditions, and enables regio‐ and stereoselective access to six‐membered 1,4‐oxaphosphinines oxides via an anti 6‐ exo ‐ dig cyclization pathway, affording good to excellent yields.
