Analysis reveals passive heat transfer methods enhance efficiency in two-tube heat exchangers, indicating trade-offs in hydraulic resistance.
Statement of the problem. The aim of the work is to analyze the influence of the passive method of heat exchange intensification on the main performance indicators of two-tube heat exchangers, such as heat transfer coefficient and hydraulic resistance. Results. The use of the passive method of heat exchange intensification contributes to an increase in the efficiency of heat exchange in two-tube heat exchangers. This is due to an increase in flow turbulence and an increase in the heat transfer coefficient. At the same time, the choice of a specific method of passive intensification of heat transfer depends on the operating conditions of the heat exchanger, such as the temperature and speed of the working medium, the material of the structure and pressure. Each method has its advantages and limitations, and its choice should be based on an analysis of these factors. Conclusions. The main disadvantage of using the passive method of improving heat transfer in two-tube heat exchangers is an increase in hydraulic resistance, which leads to an increase in pressure loss and the need to increase power for pumping liquids or gases. Therefore, one of the most important parameters when choosing ways to increase heat transfer is to determine the best relationship between increased heat transfer and hydraulic resistance.
