Using the purposive sample of 268 FBG companies listed on Bombay Stock Exchange as of 31 March 2022. Data were primarily collected from the annual reports, corporate governance reports and sample company website. Additional information on board processes and family or kindship networks was obtained from company websites and other publicly available sources. This study adopts a case-based analytical approach, drawing on corporate governance reports contained in the annual reports of the sample companies. The findings show that Indian FBG companies generally demonstrate strong compliance with corporate governance frameworks and exhibit high levels of transparency and accountability in board composition. Consequently, these effective governance structures have strengthened relationships with minority shareholders and investors.
