Scale development reveals high reliability, indicating useful assessment for teachers' attitudes toward inclusion in mathematics.
The objective of this study is to develop a valid and reliable scale for assessing primary school teachers' attitudes toward inclusive mathematics education. A total of 250 teachers from Ankara, Turkey, participated in the pilot study, while 300 teachers took part in the main study. The study involves the development of a scale using Crites, Fabrigar & Petty's (1994) attitude model. The data were analysed using factor analysis. The scale of focus comprises 14 items. Furthermore, the CRI (Composite reliability index) value was determined to be .94, and the AVE (Average variances extracted) value was determined to be .60. It is recommended that the scale be utilised in diverse contexts and with various groups of teachers.
