This analysis finds improved performance in fault detection for switched systems, suggesting enhanced stability and robustness through a control strategy.
This paper studies the fault estimation and fault‐tolerant control problems of switched systems experiencing actuator faults and external disturbances. Initially, a coordinate transformation is applied to facilitate the design of a reduced‐order interval observer, which simultaneously estimates the system states and actuator faults. Utilizing the estimates provided by the observer, a fault‐tolerant control strategy is then developed to mitigate the effects of faults and ensure both system stability and performance. Furthermore, to reduce communication overhead, an event‐triggered control scheme is incorporated into the controller design. The feasibility and robustness of the proposed approach are validated through two illustrative examples.
