Geophysical methods have long been pillars of subsurface exploration and understanding. Today, their relevance reaches far beyond oil and gas. From carbon storage and geothermal energy to critical minerals and urban resilience, seismic and nonseismic geophysical methods are being reimagined to serve broader societal needs. To meet this moment, we must all embrace a new kind of collaboration — one that crosses professional society lines, industries, and disciplines.
