Abstract Decentralized control for the DC microgrid has made extensive use of droop-based control. But correct power sharing and necessary voltage management are both impossible with traditional droop control, which results in circulating current. A novel adaptive control method that achieves precise power sharing and suitable voltage regulation based on the loading condition is presented in this paper for multiple converter DC microgrid applications. Under light load conditions, the precision of the power sharing process is not an issue because the output currents of the distributed generator units are significantly below the upper limits. Under conditions of heavy load, precise current sharing is necessary because the output currents of the dispersed generating units rise in tandem with the load. As the load level rises, the recommended control strategy improves the equivalent droop gains and offers precise current sharing. In order to minimize the variance in load current sharing, the adaptive droop controller, which is unique and creative, has done this by checking the droop parameters online and adjusting them using the principal current sharing loops. Additionally, the second loop moved the droop lines to remove the bus voltage fluctuation in the DC microgrids. The suggested algorithm is evaluated with a range of load resistances and input voltages. In this study, a linearized model is used to evaluate the performance and stability of the proposed method, and an acceptable model constructed in MATLAB/SIMULINK is used to verify the results.
