The article presents the results of a study devoted to investigating the effect of sulodexide on endothelial function in patients with ischaemic heart disease who have undergone myocardial revascularisation. Patients with stable angina pectoris, with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus, were examined. Endothelial function was assessed based on cuff test data and levels of endothelin-1, interleukin-6, and VEGF. It was shown that patients with diabetes mellitus had a higher severity of endothelial dysfunction. A 6-month course of sulodexide therapy improved endothelial function and reduced laboratory markers of inflammation. The data confirm the efficacy and safety of sulodexide in the complex therapy of patients with IHD.
