Since preliminary evidence indicates PFA may be used safely and effectively as a first-line ablation therapy for AF, additional long-term data and larger-scale real-world analyses are needed to evaluate PFA's longevity and establish its role in routine clinical use. Overall, PFA offers a new direction for the development of catheter-based rhythm control therapies that are faster, safer, and more efficient than previously available options for atrial fibrillation.
