Abstract

This project aims to create a simple and effective system for monitoring renewable energy, particularly solar power, using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Many small solar setups lack real-time tracking, making it difficult for users to understand how much energy is being produced or whether the system is working efficiently. To solve this, an ESP8266 microcontroller is used along with INA219 sensors to measure the solar panel and battery voltage, current, and power. These values are updated continuously and displayed on a compact OLED screen so users nearby can check the readings at a glance. To make the system more convenient, all the data is also sent to the Blynk mobile application, allowing users to monitor their solar power system remotely through their smartphone. A warning system is added to notify the user when the solar panel voltage drops below a set level, which helps in preventing battery discharge and maintaining stable power usage. The overall design is low-cost, easy to build, and suitable for small renewable energy installations. It can be used in homes, academic projects, and basic solar setups where continuous monitoring is needed. The system’s real-time nature and remote accessibility make it a practical solution for improving energy management and ensuring better performance of renewable energy sources.
