Integrating Indian Philosophical Thought with Modern Scheduling Algorithms: A Hybrid Approach to Computational Efficiency

AbstractCPU scheduling is a very crucial part of a multiprogramming operating system and it is the main function of the operating system. It determines which process is served by the CPU next for maximum CPU utilization. This study compares CPU scheduling method algorithms with the Indian Knowledge System (IKS), including FCFS (First Come First Serve), SJF (Shortest Job First), Round Robin, and Priority Scheduling. The study provides a distinctive viewpoint on justice, balance, and ethical computing by comparing ideas from ancient Indian scriptures. It offers a culturally rich perspective on algorithm creation, emphasizing the ways in which conventional Indian knowledge can influence and motivate contemporary computational techniques. This paper compares contemporary CPU scheduling techniques with traditional Indian philosophical ideas and then compares the outlines of these scheduling algorithms in depth to evaluate the Performance, Implementation, Turn-Around Time (TAT), Waiting Time (WT), pros, and cons through a comparison table.
