Objective: This report presents clinical improvement in chest discomfort, dyspnea, and fatigue in a patient with unstable angina treated with integrative Korean medicine including Guibiondam-tang (歸脾溫膽湯)-hap-Gugamcho-tang (灸甘草湯).Methods: A 70-year-old male patient diagnosed with unstable angina experienced chest discomfort, dyspnea, and fatigue despite receiving conventional care. The patient was treated with Guibiondam-tang (歸脾溫膽湯)-hap-Gugamcho-tang (灸甘草湯) and acupuncture during a 41-day hospitalization period. Symptom severity was quantitatively assessed using the NRS for chest discomfort, dyspnea, and fatigue. Results: After treatment, NRS scores showed notable improvements in chest discomfort, dyspnea, and fatigue. Conclusion: This case suggests that integrative Korean medicine, including Guibiondam-tang (歸脾溫膽湯)-hap-Gugamcho-tang (灸甘草湯), may benefit patients with unstable angina experiencing cardiopulmonary symptoms and fatigue. Further studies are warranted to evaluate clinical effectiveness of Korean medicine in cardiovascular disease management.
