Abstract

Probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) for sustainable water resources Dynamic PRA provides sustainable flood risk decision support by identifying costs to present and future generations. PRA is a structured and logical analysis method assessing risks in complex systems to improve safety and performance. Within PRA, risk is defined as likelihood per negative consequence magnitude. A PRA goal is to explicitly describe the impact of uncertainty, which is lack of knowledge, to risk. It has been in widespread use since the 1980s and 1990s.
