Key Points

  • The aim is to investigate the synthesis and characteristics of heterobimetallic complexes using pyridine-/pyrazine-2-carboxamide ligands.
  • Synthesis of heterobimetallic complexes with various metal ions
  • Characterization of complexes using structural techniques
  • Analysis of redox properties and magnetic behavior
  • Successful synthesis of six-coordinate Ni(II), Co(II), Co(III) and four-coordinate Co(II), Zn(II) complexes
  • Structural characterization confirms the coordinated geometry of the complexes
  • Examination of redox properties and magnetic behavior reveals unique features.

Abstract

Using pyridine-/pyrazine-2-carboxamide acting both as terminal and bridging ligands, heterobimetallic complexes with six-coordinate Ni( ii ), Co( ii ) and Co( iii ) and four-coordinate Co( ii ) and Zn( ii ) have been synthesized and structurally characterized.
