Augmented Reality (AR) is rapidly evolving as a tool for real-time collaboration and immersive experiences across sectors such as education, healthcare, and engineering. However, current AR systems lack effective cross-device interoperability, secure content sharing, and decentralised control in multi-user environments. This research aims to develop and evaluate HoloBine, a decentralised AR framework that enables secure, real-time content sharing between Microsoft HoloLens and mobile devices. The framework was developed in four phases: Phase 1 established a custom network communication layer; Phase 2 integrated ARShare plugins to support content sharing; Phase 3 built a holographic PC remote interface for object positioning and motion tracking; and Phase 4 embedded the Secure Augmented Reality Blockchain Protocol (SARBP) to deliver blockchain-based encryption, access control, and validation through the novel Proof of Augmented Reality (PoAR) consensus. Findings show that HoloBine significantly improves interoperability, security, and usability in collaborative AR systems.
