This article provides conchology-based original descriptions of six new Japanese marine gastropods published in Venus 21(3): 296–303. The work includes diagnostic shell morphology and figures (Text-figs. 1–11), with type localities and collecting depths noted (notably off Shikoku, Japan). Of particular relevance to Coralliophilinae/Muricidae, the paper introduces Latiaxis (Latiaxis) latipinnatus Azuma, 1961 (original description), characterized by a small pyriform-ovate shell with strong shoulder spines, distinctive internal dentiform folds of the outer lip, and a recurved canal; type locality is given as off Tosa (80–100 fathoms), Shikoku, Japan. This taxon is currently accepted as Babelomurex latipinnatus (Azuma, 1961) and remains nomenclaturally anchored to this original source. Additional new taxa described in the paper span Trochidae, Epitoniidae, Muricidae, and Conidae, and include radular documentation for selected species.
