A case report demonstrates a giant Moll’s cyst in a male, highlighting the need for histopathological examination to confirm diagnosis.
The cyst of Moll is a benign cyst originating from the apocrine glands of the eyelid margin. Although these cysts are generally small and asymptomatic, larger cysts are rare and can simulate more serious eyelid tumors. We report a case of a 26-year-old male presenting with a giant 4.0 × 3.0 cm Moll’s cyst on the medial margin of the right lower eyelid, among the rarest reported cases. Complete surgical excision and histopathological confirmation ensured definitive treatment and excluded malignancy. This case emphasizes the importance of inclusion of Moll’s cyst in differential diagnoses and the role of histopathological examination in confirmation.
