Early prognostic stratification of follicular lymphoma through ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT tumor metabolic parameters and clinical characteristics

SLShao-Chun LiJXJing-Yan XuXFXinyan Fan

Key Points

  • This research aims to identify early predictors of disease progression in follicular lymphoma using imaging and clinical data.
  • Analyzed baseline ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT imaging for TMTV and DmaxVox metrics.
  • Assessed clinical parameter LDH for its predictive value.
  • Created a predictive model combining imaging and clinical parameters to stratify risk.
  • TMTV and DmaxVox are independent predictors of early disease progression within 24 months.
  • LDH levels also serve as a significant risk indicator.
  • The predictive model effectively categorizes patient risk based on these metrics.

Abstract

TMTV and DmaxVox on baseline 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging, along with the clinical parameter LDH, are independent predictors of early disease progression within 24 months (POD24) in patients with FL. A predictive model combining these imaging metrics with clinical parameters effectively stratifies patient risk.
