Research demonstrates antimicrobial activity of new pyrrolobenzodiazepines, suggesting effective green synthesis methods.
In this research, bio-CdO/ZnOg@MWCNTs nanocompositec was synthesized employing Petasites hybridus rhizome water extract. The performance of the catalyst was proved by the synthesis of pyrrolobenzodiazepines employing the one-pot condensation reactions of isatin, imine derivatives of haloketones, activated acetylenic compounds, and alkyl bromides in water at room temperature. As well, some synthesized pyrrolobenzodiazepines antimicrobial activity was confirmed by utilizing the Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and disk diffusion test. The short time of reaction, high yields of product, simple removing of catalyst and products are some benefits of this process.
