Tourism destinations are the places or locations that attract visitors due to their unique characteristics, attractions and experiences these places and locations can vary widely in terms of natural attractions, cultural sites, resorts, retreats, festivals, events, and most of all road network that make accessibility to the attraction sites easy. The questions that readily come to mind are: i. Do the two tiers of government, state and local governments, have information and data of tourism assets endowed in each of the 44 local government areas of the state? ii. Are there road networks connecting the various tourism sites of the state? The answer to these questions is NO. The concerns of this paper was the very scanty information or up to date information on the tourism destinations of the state. To address these concerns, the paper identified tourism destinations their locations, type and road network for easy accessibility for the purpose of promoting sustainable tourism activities in Kano State. This study therefore recommends that the two tiers of governance have roles to play in providing an up-to-date data and information on all the endowed tourism destinations of the state, as a way of promoting tourism in the state and also provision of accessible road network that would connect all the tourism destinations through partnership.
