Engineering design validates a high-pressure permeameter for testing solute transport in porous media, suggesting enhanced accuracy.
This article presents the engineering design, construction, and laboratory validation of a high-pressure permeameter column system developed for flow and solute transport testing in porous media. The prototype withstands 1–250 bar, prevents redox artefacts through an internal PVC liner, and enables accurate determination of hydraulic and reactive transport parameters, filling a critical gap in commercially available systems.
