Complete genome sequence of the widely used coaggregation fusobacterial strain PK1594

GBG C BibekSXShiqi XuCWC Fangyun Wu

Key Points

  • This research aims to provide the complete genome sequence of strain PK1594 to clarify its classification and coaggregation capabilities.
  • Sequencing the entire genome of strain PK1594
  • Assembling the genome into a chromosome and plasmid
  • Analyzing the znpA gene for identification purposes
  • The genome assembly includes a 2,357,192-bp chromosome
  • A 20,441-bp contig was identified, representing a duplicated 10,221-bp plasmid
  • ZnpA analysis confirmed PK1594 as Fusobacterium hwasookii instead of F. nucleatum.

Abstract

ABSTRACT We report the complete genome sequence of the fusobacterial strain PK1594, widely used to study coaggregation between Fusobacterium nucleatum and oral bacteria. The assembly comprises a 2,357,192-bp chromosome and a 20,441-bp contig representing a duplicated 10,221-bp plasmid. znpA analysis indicates that PK1594 is Fusobacterium hwasookii rather than F. nucleatum .
