Optometric utilization of perceptual tests evaluates perceptual abilities, suggesting improved clinical evaluations.
There is increased utilization of standardized perceptual tests by optometrists. They provide objective evaluation of many specific perceptual abilities. This information is useful in determining over‐all perceptual functioning, specific perceptual deficits, perceptual style and preferred perceptual system. A listing of perceptual tests available for clinical optometric use is provided.
